THE MIRAMICHI

The Miramichi flows through the province of New Brunswick. It is a beautiful river with clear, clean water running over an endless succession of gravel bars, braiding into channels flowing around fertile islands.

The Miramichi’s Fame rests on its unmatched ability to produce Atlantic salmon. Some 100,000 make their way up the river every summer and autumn, and the river produces nearly 50% of the annual total catch of Atlantic salmon in North America.

Salmon average 6-8 lbs, with 10-15 lb fish taken regularly and fish up to 30lbs occasionally caught.

Country Haven Lodge is ideally located on 100 acres of private land in central New Brunswick on the banks of the beautiful Miramichi. Guests enjoy exclusive access to 27 private pools on the river, which offer the greatest variety of private wild Atlantic salmon fishing pools in the province.

Accommodation is in a 4,000 square foot lodge which offers spectacular views of the river, alongside two smaller cottages.

Country Haven has access to 23 private pools. Salmon up to 30+ lbs. are often landed on the Miramichi, and the Country Haven Lodge’s private fishing water is some of the best on the river.
