ACKLINS

Acklins Island neighbours Crooked Island, the fishing around Acklins Island is also remote and offers many flats accessible from the shore.

SALINA POINT BONEFISH LODGE

Salina Point Bonefish Lodge is a fly-fishing lodge created with the expressed intent of accommodating discriminating fly fishing devotees. It is ideally located on a pristine, secluded, white sand beach one mile east of Salina Point Settlement. The nearby bight of Acklins is an excellent location for wade fishing for sizeable bonefish.

The lodge offers 5 air-conditioned rooms that open onto the beach. There is complimentary Wi-Fi, bottled water, and housekeeping offered daily.

The flats on this fishery are known for feeding bonefish and permit, plus many other species. Due to the southern location, the weather patterns around Acklins Island are very favourable and cold fronts tend to pass the island.

The average bonefish here is 3-4 lbs and you will get shots at 6-10lb fish most days.
