ANDROS

Androx is 104 miles long and is the largest of all the Bahamian Islands.  It has a well-earned reputation for bonefishing. The average bonefish here is 4-6lbs, with many up to and over 10. The flats also support jacks, tarpon and barracuda.  

ANDROS ISLAND BONEFISH CLUB 

Andros Island Bonefish Club is located at North Bight, just 100 yards from a productive, easy-to-wade flat where it is not uncommon to see schools of hundreds of bonefish.  

Guests are accommodated in simple but large air-conditioned rooms, each with a private bathroom, fridge and ceiling fan. Amenities include the freshwater swimming pool, patio and indoor lounge offering satellite television and a full-service bar.

Tiamo is an upscale resort that can only be reached by boat or seaplane, on the South Bight of Andros. There is fly fishing for bonefish and tarpon, and also deep sea and reef fishing for tuna, mahi-mahi, marlin and sailfish. This is a perfect location for families / couples.  

Accommodation is in 11 villas and 2 rooms on the beach, built in a traditional Bahamian style, with a ceiling fan, a king-size bed and shower. Dinner is served at the main lodge and guests have complimentary use of kayaks, sailboats and snorkelling gear. Meals and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

SWAIN'S CAY LODGE 

 
Swain’s Cay Lodge provides an escape to a bonefishing paradise, with a real sense of peace and tranquility. Rooms are garden view, ocean or beachfront and all have air-conditioning, free Wifi and ensuite bathrooms. Located right on the beach, the Reefside Restaurant & Bar serves up delicious and truly authentic Bahamian cuisine. Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner.

BAIR'S LODGE

 
This charming lodge is sandwiched between Deep Creek and Little Creek on the east side of South Andros. These east-to-west arteries spill into an expanse of inland flats with hundreds of small cays and connecting channels, covering more than 120 square miles. These varied flats provide ample room to stalk and wade cruising and tailing bones or to cast from the boat. 

There are seven air-conditioned twin guest rooms, each with a private bath. All meals are included, consisting of fine local cuisine such as conch, lobster and grouper. You will be looked after by some of the top guides in the Bahamas.

KAMALAME CAY
 

Located just off the world’s third-largest Great Barrier Reef, this intimate, family-run, private island is home to individually appointed, bougainvillaea-draped bungalows, cottages, beach houses, and villas along a three-mile beach. Accommodating singles, couples and families.  

The main building is a colonial-style mansion with a restaurant and lounge, there is an overwater spa, fantastic cuisine and an alfresco cinema. Rooms are air-conditioned and elegantly furnished with every amenity. This holiday is very good for non-fishing companions. There is good DIY bonefishing close to the resort.
