What makes Guanaja unique is that you will usually enjoy being the only fishing party there. Guanaja and Roatan are diverse Caribbean fisheries that offer primarily bonefish, permit, and tarpon and the opportunity to fish for several other species including triggerfish, parrotfish, snook, jacks and barracuda. Much of the fishing is done by wading, with skiffs being used to access some areas.
Flats of coral, sand and turtle grass, are perfect habitats for bonefish, permit and tarpon plus many other inshore species. A small caye will be home for your stay and you are literally surrounded by shallow water, where often tailing bonefish come within casting distance of the deck right outside the lodge.
Graham’s Place Guanaja is a boutique resort set in the picturesque “Islas de la Bahia” on a small private caye. The resort has a mix of hotel rooms, beach bungalows and one-bedroom suites. All rooms have air-conditioning, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and daily housekeeping. There is an open-air bar and restaurant, excellent food is served. This is a great destination for non-fishing partners.
