FRASER RIVER

White sturgeon are plentiful in the Fraser River, and have a reputation for their power, reckless leaping ability and for providing an outstanding fishing experience. Attaining lengths of over 12ft and exceeding weights of 1,000lbs, the Fraser River sturgeon attract anglers from all over the world.

The Fraser River is also known for its massive salmon runs, averaging 20-50 million per year. The chinook, the largest of the Pacific salmon, are the first to return to the rivers from June, followed by the sockeye in July and the coho and chum in August. Bi-annually in odd years, the Fraser River also sees migrations of pink salmon in huge numbers.

The following trip are in conjunction with Dean Werk of Great River Fishing Adventures.

GLACIER RIVER FISHING ON THE LILLOOET RIVER

Situated in the heart of British Columbia's Coastal Mountains lies a hidden trout and salmon river. Accessible only by boat over the 157 square mile Harrison Lake, the Lillooet valley truly is a land that time forgot. The Lillooet River Camp is an all-inclusive remote wilderness wall tent camp nestled in a secluded spot on the bank of the Lillooet River. It is a diehard fly fisher’s dream, surrounded by stunning mountain vistas and sparkling glaciers and is limited to 6 anglers at a time. Only two guide boats will run each day, with three anglers per boat.

All of the amenities, though rustic, are here, including an outhouse with an incredible view of the river and a hot shower. All meals are prepared by the fantastic camp chef.

Staying at the camp allows you the opportunity to fish above the canyon on the Lillooet. With virtually no travel time to the fishing, the amount of time spent on the water is greatly increased. Wildlife viewing opportunities are plentiful, with exceptional populations of deer, bears, and eagles as well as other species.
