The Pyrenees form a natural 267-mile frontier between France and Spain. 1,500 miles of streams, rivers, and lakes scattered throughout the vast region, but SALVELINUS knows and has tested them all. With 2 lodges and multiple satellite camps strategically placed throughout the mountain range, you have the option to fish hand-picked wild trout water in the East, West or both areas in one trip. Helicopter fishing and walk-n-wade are all possible.
The diversity of the epic landscapes and quality fishing make this a special experience. Species to target include brown, rainbow and brook trout, and the Mediterranean barbel AKA “mountain bonefish”.
Accommodation is at two lodges; Santa Cilia Lodge, a 15th-century stone-built fishing lodge along the banks of the Aragón River in the Western Pyrenees, and Arén Lodge, a charming traditional inn in the Eastern Pyrenees. Each lodge is centrally located in its region to provide the best access to outstanding fishing. Enjoy traditional cuisine, exquisite wines, and fully equipped rooms within close proximity to some of the best waters of the Pyrenees. This destination is well suited to non-fishing companions.
Other activities: Hiking, kayaking, wine and history tours, and spa.
Suggested Package: transfers, 8 nights on full board, 7 days’ guided fishing, transport to and from the fishing.
