CAYMAN ISLANDS

Blessed with crystal clear water, miles of sandy white beaches and some of the world’s best diving and fishing, the Cayman Islands offers luxury with an abundance of activities and experiences. In Cayman, fishing is often called the unofficial national sport. Prized species like blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi and barracuda are caught year round. Fishermen have the option of different styles with reef fishing, fly fishing, deep sea fishing and more.

Southern Cross Club

The Southern Cross Club was founded in 1958 when Little Cayman had a population of just 12 people. The island now has over 100.

The lure of Little Cayman is its seclusion, excellent flats and fishing. Fishing the flats for bonefish, permit and jacks is diverse and exciting. The Southern Cross Club has the only full-service fishing facility on Little Cayman and their guides have years of local knowledge. There is a small inland lake with land-locked tarpon in the 20 – 50lb range. At sunrise and sunset, you will often find these fish feeding on the surface. Game fishing is very good and can be arranged.

Accommodation is in comfortable rooms with private bathrooms along the beach facing the sea and uninhabited Owen Island. The Club’s main building houses the dining room and bar, and there is also a screened open air dining pavilion, thatched Tiki bar and swimming pool. Guests have free use of kayaks, bicycles and snorkelling equipment.

 Other activities:

Swimming, kayaking, massages, diving, bicycles and snorkelling.

Suggested package:

1 night in Grand Cayman room only, internal flight, 6 nights full board and 4 fishing sessions.
