Tucked between Vancouver Island and mainland BC, these untamed islands are located in the rain shadow of the Coast Mountains and are only accessible by floatplane or watercraft. 

Located within British Columbia’s cluster of Discovery Islands, Sonora is surrounded by one of the most pristine environments in Canada.

Sonora Resort is an all-inclusive resort set in a beautiful inlet on the mainland, reached by floatplane from Vancouver or water taxi from Campbell River. This is an ideal place for fishing and non-fishing companions with excellent and exclusive fly fishing for salmon in the lower reaches of the Philips River. There is also the opportunity to troll for salmon in the river. From mid-August to October you can enjoy grizzly bear viewing. 

Rooms and suites are beautifully furnished with private bathrooms and complimentary bar fridges. The food here is exceptional.
