NXASAMERI

Nxamaseri Island Lodge is located in the Okavango Delta and has seven double en-suite chalets and a charming tree house. Each secluded room has a private deck overlooking the water and is surrounded by indigenous forest. Teak walkways link the chalets to the lodge main area, providing an opportunity to witness at close range the remarkable birdlife that inhabits the tree canopy above; over 350 species have been recorded. The Lodge was built in the 1980’s by PJ Bestelink, an avid fisherman who pioneered fly fishing in Botswana. He found this secluded island to be the perfect location to fly fish for tiger fish and bream.

For non-fishers there are trips by Mokoro, the traditional way of travelling through the shallow waters of the Delta to see wildlife and birds, visits to the Tsodilo Hills to see bush paintings and bird watching.

Suggested Package: 7 nights on full board, fishing, wildlife and cultural excursions.

Fish the mighty Zambezi as well as the Chobe, Kasai and Kando Rivers. You can look forward to fly fishing and traditional angling, accompanied by professional guides, for Zambezi tiger fish, arguably the world’s hardest fishing game fish, and the most striking of the largemouth Bream species – the nembwe.
