Pirarucu is located within the Mamirauá Reserve, about 600 km west of Manaus, a complex system of lakes and channels between the Solimões River and Japura River. An incredibly diverse fishery that will not disappoint any jungle angler with tambaqui, arowana, and peacocks. But what really sets Pirarucú apart are its namesake, the Arapaima.
Arriving in Tefe by plane, you will be transported by boat to the floating lodge. Constructed of local wood, the accommodation is comfortable with 10 private cabins with en suite facilities.
