BRYNJUDALSÁ

Brynjudalsá is a charming small river only about 40 minutes from Reykjavík. The river has a good stock of salmon and sea trout. Brynjudalsá is fished with single-handed rods, having the salmon close by and often in full view.

Two major waterfalls are in the lower part where anglers can find great numbers of fish in the early season as the major runs show up. These runs then spread out the river system, producing great sport for anglers. Despite being a small volume river, Brynjudalsá produces some size salmon which average 7 pounds.

Brynjudalsá Lodge is spacious, comfortable, modern and very well appointed; the scenery and vista from the lodge is truly breathtaking. One of the bedrooms has a mountain view, with the other overlooking the river valley. Both rooms have two single beds and are en-suite. The lodge is self-catering, so you should stock up on supplies in Reykjavik.

Suggested Package: 1 night in Reykjavik, car hire, 3 days fishing.
