WYOMING

In the heart of the great American West, the North Platte River is one of the most productive trout rivers in the United States. Sporting big, trophy sized brown and rainbow trout, set in a picturesque backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. The consistent water temperatures of the North Platte River offer trout the opportunity to flourish in their natural environment, with anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 fish per mile. The river produces extremely large hatches of Midges, BWO’s Caddis, Yellow Sallies, PMD’s & Trico’s between the months of April through to October. In addition to this, streamer fishing and nymphing are regular tactics that produce good catches year-round.

Snake River rises in Yellowstone National Park. Part of the river is best suited to floating; other areas can be waded. The majority of fish are cutthroat trout, the rest being brown and brook trout. Three tributaries of the Snake, the Gros Ventre, Flat Creek and Hoback offer gentler alternatives.

The Hampton Inn at Jackson Hole is two minutes’ drive to the centre of town, with very comfortable rooms with private facilities, a hot tub, fitness room and complimentary WiFi.
