120km north of Caracas, Los Roques is the largest marine park in the Caribbean Sea. It is considered one of the best bone fishing destinations in the world, with tarpon, permit, triggerfish, jacks, barracuda and snook also present. 90% of the fishing is done by wading. Due to its location 12 degrees north of the equator, the tides, air and water temperatures vary little, providing consistently excellent fishing conditions.
